Apple Store Visit
P6 & 7 pupils (along with the 3 x P5 pupils shortlisted for Digital Leader interviews) travelled to the Apple Store in Victoria Square in Belfast today. There they met Donna who gave them a tour of the store first, where they got to see and work with all the new Apple devices which have recently been released.
This was followed up by some Digital Leaders’ training whereby all the pupils had to problem solve a variety of scenarios where problems arose with devices. The pupils were able to come up with some great 👍 solutions.
The pupils then had the opportunity to carry out some coding activities using the app Swift Playgrounds and to programme a variety of robots 🤖. The pupils are looking forward to having the opportunity to follow up on these activities in class.
No trip to Victoria Square would be complete without pizza 🍕 and so the pupils went upstairs to Pizza Hut for their lunch. All enjoyed the buffet on offer, and thanks are expressed to our wonderful Parents’ Association who covered this cost, it was greatly appreciated by all.
The children even had time to stop off at the play park in Ballygawley to cap off what was a fantastic day.
