Visit to Shangri-La Public School, Kathmandu
During his visit to Shangri-La Public School today, Mr Conroy presented some gifts to the school, pupils and staff.
Tying in very well with our school’s UICT focus this year on Computational Thinking & Coding, Mr Conroy presented a mini Sphero and a coding mat created by the Cluster Group for the visit. The coding mat contained a QR code which will allow the Kathmandu children to watch a video of our P6/7 children presenting their findings on their Water project. Mr Conroy demonstrated to some of the staff and pupils how the device could build on the great coding work currently going on in their school.
Mr Dammer Bista, the school’s VP, was also presented with a collage of photographs, marking his visit to our school in June last. To the children from Shanghri-La Public School who were involved in the joint Water Pollution project, Mr Conroy presented a St Oliver Plunkett PS pen to them, a token which they thoroughly appreciated.
Mr Conroy also presented a presented a ball and jersey from Beragh Red Knights GAA.
