School closure - March 2020
Dear parent/carer,
As you are aware, Wednesday 18th, Thursday 19th and Friday 20th are due to be normal teaching days. In light of on-going concerns regarding the Covid 19 Corona virus, in consultation with the Board of Governors, we have made the decision to change these days to staff development days to focus on testing contingency plans in the even of longer school closure. The health, safety and wellbeing of our pupils, staff, families and the community are paramount in this decision. Children WILL NOT be in school on these days. Mr. Martin will be available in school, as outlined in previous correspondence, on Wednesday 18th March for any queries regarding home-school resources.
The situation is under ongoing review and we will issue updates accordingly.
We are conscious that this decision has been made at very short notice and we apologise wholeheartedly for any inconvenience caused but I know you will appreciate we are dealing with a very serious and unprecedented situation. I know you will also join with us a Catholic community in offering prayers for those who are ill at this time, for health care providers, public health officials and all community leaders.
Beir beannacht/Best wishes,
Páraic Martin
