Hive Hackers - Week 4
P4-7 classes resumed their Coding work after the Hallowe’en break when the staff and a few volunteers from PwC came in to work with the school’s staff and pupils to help deliver a lesson focusing on the area of debugging - an essential element of learning to code.
Using the Code.org website, the children encountered puzzles that have been solved incorrectly. This then lead the students to step through the existing code to identify errors, including incorrect loops, missing blocks, extra blocks and incorrectly ordered blocks. The pupils also continued practicing their debugging skills by helping the artist to fix pictures that weren’t coming out quite right.
The pupils from P4-7 continue to enjoy our coding lessons and found it a great way fit back into the school routine after the Hallowe’en break. Well done everyone.
