PS Cross Country Championship
Well done to the 4 boys and 4 girls who travelled from our school today to Our Lady of Lourdes PS in Greencastle to participate in the PS Cross Country Championship. All the children tried their very best on what was a challenging course in wet conditions. Whilst we didn’t win any titles on the day, we did have a girl home in 7th position in the girls’ race, with a boy finishing in 9th position in the boys’ race. The boys’ team also finished 6th overall which was a great achievement indeed.
Taking into account the fact that most of the school’s athletes came from the P5 & 6 classes, the school should be in a good position to challenge for honours next year.
Finally a word of thanks to parents Mrs McCann, Mrs Grimes & Mr McDaid who helped with transport to the event, such support was greatly appreciated.
