P7 day in Dublin
10th Mar 2022
Primary 7 travelled to Dublin yesterday as part of their WAU topic on Irish History and the Under the Hawthorne Tree novel.
We started the day with a tour of Croke Park. The children discovered the history of the famous stadium and the origins of the GAA. We even got a tour of the changing rooms that Tyrone used on All-Ireland Final Day.
We then took a trip on the Jeanie Johnson Famine Ship which chartered the waters between Kenmare , Co Kerry and Quebec in Canada during the Great Famine.
What a fabulous day that brought our topic to life!
