'Our Place' Project

Back in February and March, the P6 & 7 pupils took part in the 'Our Place' project which was organised in association with Fermanagh & Omagh District Council.  They learned about the townland system used in Ireland and each child had to carry out some research into the townland in which they lived. 

As part of this work, the children created their own artistic representations of their townlands and these were in turn sent off to be incorporated onto a pop-up display.  The display arrived in school today and the pupils and staff are very pleased at how the children's artistic work has turned out.  The pop-up will be on display at the front door of the school for a week or so before being showcased in the Strule Arts Centre and Enniskillen Castle Museum over the summer holidays.  The pop-up will be returned to the school in September.
