Numeracy Co-ordinator Mrs. McGarvey organised a great quiz this afternoon to mark the end of a very successful Maths Week Ireland 2019 in the school. Pupils from the P5, 6 & 7 classes were divided up into 8 teams and answered fun questions from right across the Mathematics curriculum. All teams showed a very high standard of maths knowledge over the hour and the teams' scores throughout the quiz were very close indeed. So close in fact that the quiz finished in a 3 way tie, and the outcome was only decided by way of a tiebreaker question!
The winning team received prizes which rewarded their success, but all pupils left content in the knowledge that they had pushed the winners very, very close indeed. Well done to all who took part.
