Really positive first day back in school. Lovely to see familiar faces again and hear the healthy, happy noise of classrooms working together again! This nurture week allows for a soft-landing for everyone (children, staff and parents). Routines can be followed, new norms worked through, understood, tweaked and then established. Thank you for the lovely emails and messages that flowed into the school today. It’s truly great to be back open! 😊
Similar arrival routines for our children again tomorrow - thank you everyone for adhering to the planned schedule and arriving at your group’s drop off time. It certainly made things run smoothly today. Tomorrow gives a lot of rain ☔️ 🌧 so please remember a coat. It is possible that there might be a bit of a delay at the end of the school day as we don’t want the children standing out too long in the rain. Remember that PE uniform can be worn on a Tuesday and Thursday to help with all the washing!
P6/7 enter via the side gate and head directly into Mr Conroy’s classroom.
P4/5 enter via the side gate and carry on their journey to the back door of the school beside Mrs Kerr’s classroom.
P3 enter via the side gate, head towards the back of the school and continue their journey to the ramp at the P3 classroom.
Really impressive how all of you listened and understood. More of the same again tomorrow! 👏 👏
P1/2 children (accompanied by their parents) can use the main school gate and walk to the doors at the Foundation Stage entrance. Our P1 children were very brave and had such a great first day in their new classroom and settled in really well!! Lots of photos to follow during the week.
The Nursery will continue with the staggered intake this week as planned by Mrs Mullin.
Buses will be operational tomorrow as normal 🚌
We are looking closely at the usage of water bottles and disposable bags in the school. We appreciate that it is August ☀️, that disposable bottles and packaging are not eco-friendly and the cost soon mounts up. 💦 We want to keep all stakeholders safe.
