St Oliver Plunkett Primary is one of 9 schools throughout Northern Ireland to have received funding through the British Council Connecting Classroom Project to make links with schools in Nepal.
Next week 18 Principals and teachers from the schools involved, will travel to Dubai and Kathmandu in Nepal and visit the school they are linked with. Schools will take part in planning and preparation activities for designing projects and in conference based activities. Principals and teachers will visit with their partner school for 5 days and observe , teach and develop a project together. Mr Conroy and Mrs Maguire will travel to Shangri-La School and spend 1 week working there. On return the Y7 pupils will take part in a project with their counterparts in Kathmandu and communicate via email etc.
This follows up the work done in previous years with schools in China, and it helps to develop the international outlook of our pupils.
