Artist visits P7’s classroom
This morning the children of P7 had the opportunity to work closely with an artist in their own classroom. Funded through Fermanagh & Omagh District Council (FODC), Genevieve Murphy came in to help the children prepare an artistic piece on the Story of St Patrick. This is a collaborative project, with 4 other primary schools from the district involved, each telling a part of his story. Our part of the story was the legend which tells of how St Patrick banished the snakes from Ireland. The children had great fun working with Genevieve and creating their artistic piece.
The children will attend the St Patrick’s Day exhibition launch at the Strule Arts Centre on Friday 9 March from 12 noon - 2pm, where their art will be on display to the public until the end of the month. A visit to the exhibition will be thoroughly recommended over the month of March.
