Extension of Grass Playing Area

Sincere thanks are expressed to parents Mr Ronan Donnelly and Mr Seamus Grimes who gave up two days and their own equipment to work at the ground at the back of the school.  Over the years the land had become over-grown and the men cleared the scrub, ploughed and power harrowed the ground before sowing it out and rolling it.  It's great to have such willing parent volunteers within our school community. 

It is hoped to use the land to extend the existing grass area to create a football pitch, whilst also having enough land to the side which could be used for other puposes such as environmental education.
