Money Sense Workshop

Tracey McElroy & Roisin Conway from Ulster Bank came in this afternoon to work with P6 & 7 classes.  The children participated in the Money Sense Workshop where they learned about different payment methods and looked at the advantages & disadvantages of each.  The ladies also helped the children to work in groups and plan a birthday party within a budget, which the pupils found to be a lot of fun.  The pupils then got the chance to feed back to the rest of the class about how their group had spent the budget, and how they thought they could reduce the cost. The workshop tied in very well with the financial capability area of Using Mathematics which the classes are learning about this month.
