The school has placed its order of the sixth edition of Digital Parenting – the annual guide to help parents support their children as they navigate the challenges of the digital world. A copy will be sent home to all parents of children in the school and nursery as soon as it arrives.
Packed full of expert content, it's completely free! There is advice from teachers, parents and online safety experts on subjects ranging from Virtual Reality, to body image in the social media age, to live streaming. There are tips from online safety experts, parents and children and young people themselves.
There is also an updated guide to setting parental controls on apps and devices, and information on gaming and keeping kids safe while they play. The online version of the magazine will be published soon and will include live links in the Tools section to make finding out about parental controls even easier.
The school has distributed previous copies of this magazine over the last few years and parents have noted how beneficial it has been in terms of educating themselves and helping to keep their young people safe whilst online.
