Anti-Bullying Week 2015

20th Nov 2015
Anti-Bullying Week 2015

The children of P6 & 7 took part in a series of exciting lessons as part of Anti-Bullying Week 2015 which was held from Monday 16 until Friday 20 November.  The theme of ABW2015 was, ‘What Bullying Means to Me.’  The children were encouraged to think about the term ‘bullying’ and develop a better understanding of what it means to them, as well as develop a shared understanding of what bullying means to our society.  Some of the children’s work was displayed in the classroom to show what bullying does mean to them.

The children also explored feelings, concentrating on what makes them happy and how they can respond if someone is being made to feel unhappy.  The children explored situations portrayed in the ABW15 posters, including both bullying and non-bullying scenarios.

The P6 & 7 children really enjoyed taking part in the ABW2015 activities to highlight what bullying is and how we all (pupils & staff) could deal with it.  The whole week gave the children a great opportunity to focus on reinforcing the anti-bullying message: ‘Bullying is always wrong!’
